LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

We find ourselves in Moh’kinsstis (known also as Calgary) where the Elbow and Bow Rivers intersect. As a part of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work, play, and host on Treaty 7 land - the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (District 5 & 6). We are also embedded in Unama’ki, meaning “the Land of Fog” (known also as Cape Breton, Nova Scotia), the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq.
